MOHAIR FABRIC Light Brown MH15
Every plot tells a story, but you need to know it to give it voice.
Discover our Buying Guide and get inspired: make an informed choice of the right material to bring your project to life.
MOHAIR is a sheared-pile fabric with a velvety hand, combining the warm look of suede with the practicality of a technical fibre.
The short pile returns light softly and shifts in tone depending on which way you stroke it, while the water-repellent treatment keeps liquids on the surface.
- Sheared pile: A short, dense pile that gives the surface a velvety render, close to that of suede.
- Soft hand: Pleasant to the touch and light on the seat, with a slim thickness of 1 mm.
- Water-repellent treatment: Liquids stay on the surface, leaving time to act before they soak into the fibre.
- Everyday durability: Over 35,000 Martindale cycles: made for sofas and armchairs in real use, not for show.
With Mohair the suede effect arrives without the care a real hide would demand: it is 100% polyester, and it behaves like it.
Certified quality, tested in every detail
Our fabrics undergo strict quality controls at every stage of production. Only after passing rigorous technical tests do they earn the most important certifications at European level. A guarantee of reliability for anyone looking for materials that are beautiful, high-performing and compliant with the highest standards.
The colour Light Brown
Light Brown is a light taupe with a rosy base, closer to hazelnut than to grey. On the sheared pile the pink component surfaces only in certain light, which makes it less predictable than the other neutrals. It is a warm colour that does not darken a room.
In everyday language Light Brown belongs to the taupes: if you are looking for taupe fabric, light hazelnut fabric or rosy brown fabric, the PellTex reference is Mohair Fabric in Light Brown.
